My dad is like that. We'll watch an entire comedy together where I'm laughing my ass off, but he only laughs once or twice. At the end of the movie, we both agree it was really funny. People enjoy things differently. Some people keep them on the inside while others can't help being expressive. I'm sorry you feel uncomfortable about it. There's nothing wrong with the way you react and you should be able to enjoy movies/TV at home without people questioning your interest level.
