I can't believe how few women in television are even blonde or redheaded. (same thing for men too, really). I mean, there's not even any political shit about blonde or red hair like there can be about size and ethnicity. BUT EVERYONE HAS BROWN HAIR WHAT THE HELL

Watch the news. Nothing but blonde women for miles, REALLY annoying. It's getting better, but the more sexist channels (like Fox) still have blonde as the majority.

It's probably because brown as the default is supposed to make it easier for a majority of the viewers to identify with the character. Just like almost every single male main character in video games of the last 10 years is some mid 20 to mid 30 kind-of-rugged brown haired guy.
