A good friend of mine is asking for donations to help her travel abroad to study. From the site:
"I am among the first three women to be an Arabic minor at Georgia Southern University. Because the Arabic minor is so new there, in order to complete my minor before I graduate in May, I need six credits, which I am hoping to get by studying at Qalm a Lawh Language Center (as part of the brand new study abroad program Georgia Southern has there!) in Rabat for six weeks this summer.

Everything is sorted on Georgia Southern's end, I just need financing! I am 39 years old, the single mom of an adult child, and disabled, trying to forge a new life, using the contents of my brain alone, and you can help!

That's pretty awesome! Unfortunately I'm broke as shit at the moment, but your friend sounds amazing. I can't imagine trying to study on top of being a single mom, and having to deal with a disability. I really hope she succeeds!

Me, too - this is actually the second time she's tried this, she didn't get ANY funding the first time around. I have been broke as fuck *both* times, which sucks, though i hope to help out a little this time around.
