I feel like people on tumblr have this unanimous hatred of Lupin/Tonks. I barely even remember them.

I liked Lupin/Tonks a lot. But I didn't go into it with the pre-existing viewpoint of shipping Lupin and Sirius, so that probably helped. Also, I am a big weirdo.

I liked Lupin/Tonks, too! I thought they were good for each other.

I liked Remus/Tonks a lot too, though I more liked them before they became canon and didn't love the way they were written in the books.

*nodding*

It's definitely one of those things where the canon was not perhaps as executed as well as it might have been and the fan interpretation worked a little better. Even though a lot of the fan interpretation, IIRC, ended up being quite similar to some of the Pottermore stuff that's come out afterwards.

Yeah, although tbh I didn't like some of the fan interpretation either, because it didn't make sense to me, so Pottermore's stuff didn't either. :P I definitely felt JKR never meant to make Remus and Tonks look as dysfunctional as they did.

I liked Remus/Tonks until DH. Remus/Sirius was a "hmm maybe" ship for me - I read some and liked it, but it wasn't something I actively sought to read or anything.

I didn't ship Lupin and Black but I hated Lupin/Tonks. Tonks was probably 25% of what put me off of book five. She was so unadulteratedly obnoxious to me.

I mildly shipped Remus and Sirius, not hard enough to call it an OTP though. I also saw hints right from Tonks' first appearance of possible interest in Remus and was rather unsurprised they got together in later books.

Is it so hard for shippers to simply call Remus bi and live with the fact that he got married after Sirius died?

Of course it is. Because people can have only ONE TRUE LOVE their entire lives.

And bisexuality doesn't exist.

/bitter bi shipper of both Remus/Tonks and Remus/Sirius
