You read a tumblr called Lesbian Venom, you know what you're getting into. And goodness knows, the author won't write prequels just so she doesn't have to admit that this totally non-canon ship is in fact canon. She's allergic to money like that. (On the other hand, it's not like she needs the money.)

I don't think it's necessarily true that OP reads this tumblr. You can find all kinds of crazy things there by browsing around and clicking links.

Why does everyone take every little post on tumblr so seriously as if it was etched by God on tablets?

I love tumblr for the fanart, art, DIY projects and coming soon! info but the rest? It's just noise to me. Try as I might, I just don't care.

Because posts have the potential to be passed around and become a big deal, so might as well get them over with before it happens?

At least this one was funny and not an anon going "look at this awful SJW opinion that a whole five people have on tumblr! tumblr is awful!"

I'm a little disappointed. I've been looking a Spiderman videos today so the first thing I thought when I saw the username was that they were a lesbian "Venom".

But then they'd be a lesbian with an 18-inch prehensile tongue. How would that help?

I feel like people on tumblr have this unanimous hatred of Lupin/Tonks. I barely even remember them.

I liked Lupin/Tonks a lot. But I didn't go into it with the pre-existing viewpoint of shipping Lupin and Sirius, so that probably helped. Also, I am a big weirdo.

Sounds an awful lot like the Johnlock clique.

Like seriously. That's some lack of understanding as to how fiction works. I especially like the word "admit", as if these characters have personalities and lives of their own and are in fact independent from the author. Delusions at their finest.

Yep. I bet if she wrote a Marauders series, she'd also have to ~admit~ that James never stopped being a bully, all the characters who said he got better had just been blinded by his clever charming act before he died. Shame on JK for glossing over her own creation's true character by never talking about it in the HP books or anywhere else.

NO ONE CARES. IT DOESN'T MATTER IF YOUR SHIP IS CANON. PEOPLE SHIP CHARACTERS THAT NEVER HAD A SINGLE LINE OF DIALOGUE. THEY SHIP CHARACTERS LIVING IN DIFFERENT UNIVERSES. ARHGHHGHGH.

You know, I don't get where so many people in the Remus/Sirius camp get their IT'S CANON thing. Is it a very interesting and appealing ship? Oh hell yes. Is there a lot of really great fic-provoking potential in the canonical details? Definitely yes. BUT HOW IS IT ALMOST CANON??????? Seriously, where are people getting the idea that the ONLY possible interpretation of them in canon is romantic? Like, can you give me a page number? A chapter? A quote? Something? Hell, they weren't even officially absolute best friends or anything -- James and Sirius were best friends. Or do best friends not count as best friends if one of the two best friends in question is in love with a girl?

No. Ship Remus/Sirius all you want, but it isn't canon.

I don't really get this ship anyway. The Marauder relationship seemed to be all about James and Sirius to me. While I don't think any marauder ship is canon, if Sirius was in love with any of them it was James (and that's totally my headcanon).

MWPP fangirls should be glad Jo isn't writing a Marauders' story, because I got the impression her version of them was... quite different from the ones we came up with.

The thing is, post-MWPP fangirl days, I think I kind of like the version JKR was leaning towards better than the one my friends and I came up with.
