Come on fs, you've got to have at least one!

I hate everyone I work with. I've a few crushes on co-worker friends and the relationships ended badly. Not worth it. So, I just dislike everyone now.

One of my colleagues. Other people think we're dating, but we're not.

I've had 'em. They never end well.

I work with 4 other women and two men. One of the women is my cousin. One of the men is her husband. The other man is my sister's boyfriend. Of the other three women, I hate one. The other two are alright I guess.

Used to but not anymore.

There was this girl I used to work with when I was a temp. Dark hair, green eyes, hot, tough as a nails.

I'm completely oblivious and didn't realise I really, really fancied her until I dreamt about her taking me roughly on the desk in the office.

Nope. For one, in a rather serious relationship for 3 years now and 2? most of my co-workers are far older than me and married. Not to mention I don't find anyone attractive. Nice, sure and I get on with them well, but..yeah no.

I had one a few years back. He looked like a Disney prince. Like if Prince Charming and Prince Phillip had a baby, it would look like him.

It was too bad his personality wasn't charming at all. :/

Nope. Never. I know of multiple people who I've worked with that have had crushes on me over the years, but I have never ever wanted to date a co-worker.

I had an almost-crush for a while on a friend I made at work, but I didn't give it any oxygen because she was married and then when they split up I knew she was still straight, so I channeled it into friend interest.

Yup. At my last job, I had a crush on a new guy. He was seven years younger than me, and my supervisor hated him (her supervisor hired him against her recommendations), and anyway, I'm married. I did not like it. At all.

I don't have a crush but a coworker I like and admire is trying to set me up with someone. Tad awkward.

There was a tall, dark, handsome, guy who I crushed on at first glance at my first real job after college. He had beautiful eyes and a great ass (yes, I'm shallow :p), but was very standoffish. When I asked his friends if he was dating anyone, they laughed and said no, because most women found him entirely unapproachable. After a while I got up the courage to ask him out; two years later we were married.

There's a woman in my office I've really hit it off with who's 6'2", has a great personality, got a first in english lit, constantly works out, and wants to be a riot officer.

This would be a mistake in every way, but come on.

Not a crush, but there's at least two gals I work with who I've thought 'yeah, I'd fuck them' about more than once. They're all straight, of course. And they'd probably be freaked out since they know I have a boyfriend (open relationship).

My last job, the best I could say about any of my coworkers was "Well, at least THAT one is competent and not a jerk."

My current job... well, I've been engaged the entirety of it, and while I like all my coworkers quite a bit, it's the same way I like, say, you guys. Bunch of people with a few common interests and otherwise widely varied ones, from lots of different backgrounds with interesting perspectives on things, and frequently oddball senses of humor. I still haven't met anyone besides my girlfriend, EVER IN MY ENTIRE LIFE, INCLUDING MY IMMEDIATE FAMILY, that I wanted to actually live with. So she wins.

I had a crush on one of our students once, because he looked EXACTLY like a J-Pop artist I like. I felt really bad about it too, because he was seventeen. T^T He was just so good looking and nice.

Yeah, tech guy at one of my two schools I work at. I'd known him casually for years as he was, cus at one time, the computer tech at my best friend's school and they were good work friends.

But since I've gotten to know him better because, yanno, actually working with him...I've been crushing on him big time. It's not gonna go anywhere cus he's happily married (I've met his wife, she works at my best friend's other school...she's really nice. *sigh*). So, I do the friendship thing. He told me today that he's taking a six month deferred leave starting in June. :(

I dunno, maybe that will help. Out of sight, out of mind?

Re: Work Crushes

(Anonymous) 2014-05-02 03:07 am (UTC)(link)
I've had 'em, but the most difficult situation ended up with a co-worker/friend having a crush on me (which included a two hour email exchange and him asking me about certain features of the gym I went to in our office building) and then denying it when I asked him what was going on. Even after that conversation, we still stayed on friendly terms (even with him emailing me on my day off so I could have an email waiting for me upon my return [paraphrased]). Then our teams merged, and he became really aloof. I struggled with the change for several months, and I was fired right as I was able to accept a much lighter, perhaps more superficial type of relationship. It was a mess, and I still kind of miss talking to him since we had a fair amount in common. On the other hand, I had a feeling from the start that shit would go nuclear. I hate when I'm right about those sorts of things.

No one at my current job, but I've had them.

They were almost always straight.
