Re: Work Crushes

(Anonymous) 2014-05-02 03:07 am (UTC)(link)
I've had 'em, but the most difficult situation ended up with a co-worker/friend having a crush on me (which included a two hour email exchange and him asking me about certain features of the gym I went to in our office building) and then denying it when I asked him what was going on. Even after that conversation, we still stayed on friendly terms (even with him emailing me on my day off so I could have an email waiting for me upon my return [paraphrased]). Then our teams merged, and he became really aloof. I struggled with the change for several months, and I was fired right as I was able to accept a much lighter, perhaps more superficial type of relationship. It was a mess, and I still kind of miss talking to him since we had a fair amount in common. On the other hand, I had a feeling from the start that shit would go nuclear. I hate when I'm right about those sorts of things.
