The Doctor is not 12 separate people.

You might not say that if you've seen The Five Doctors, OP. (I have no idea what they did for the 50th, so can't speak to that.)

They had three versions of the Doctor in the 50th. But they were all the same man at different points in his life. Is The Five Doctors different?

A little bit? IDK I can't compare (and think they should have had all the Doctors in the 50th, that's why I boycotted it), but I do know Two and Three didn't get along, even when they didn't have to pretend they were enemies.

I don't think that makes them different people. I think that means that the Doctor changed when he became Three and doesn't like who he was as Two.

In The Three Doctors, Three says, of he and Two, "I am he and he is me." No, they don't get along very well, but they are the same person.

I can pretty much guarantee I'd punch my teenage self in the face if I ever met her. This doesn't mean I'm not the same person.
