Spend your energy elsewhere. Stirring up drama won't make you feel better. Putting your energy into something or something that gives things back to you will make you feel better. Fill up that hole in your heart, it's there, it's deserved, you spent a lot of love on this person and it's gone, that's perfectly natural. A part of your life is over now. Poking it at it with a stick will only make it linger longer and make it hurt longer. Find something new to do - a new hobby, a new fandom, a new crush even. Take a break from the internet or dive even further in. Get a therapist so you can yell about this asshole that broke your heart. But this person and their BF are just a nest of wasps. Poking at it will only cause further pain.

"Asshole that broke your heart"? OP was not innocent here.

nayrt

You don't have to be the innocent party to feel broken hearted. Whether you have a right to it or not, the heart's still broken.

Where do you get "broken-hearted" out of "bitter and empty"? OP seems more resentful and spite-filled than anything else.

technically true, but the phrase "asshole that broke your heart" implies that 100% of the blame is on said asshole.
