- "I use Bun/Fae/Fin pronouns! Respect them or you're transphobic!!!"
- "Anyone can be trans, who needs dysphoria?"
- "If you don't automatically hate this celebrity because they did this one specific thing wrong then you're a piece of shit"
- "Jokes about (topic) are never funny even if you're a part of the group you're joking about, and I can't just unfollow you're blog because that would be stupid!"
- "All men/cis/straight people need to be raped/killed"/"Lol (x) tears" (I'm not a man or straight, but yeah, I don't want to deal with that toxic bull shit)
- "TAG YOU'RE (insult) YOU (insult)" instead of asking politely
- On that same vein, people who refuse to tag things, even when asked politely. (Seriously, someone I followed used to post a shit ton of Makorra, so I asked if they could tag it, and they turned around and refused quite rudely, with a bunch of Makorra pics in the answer saying "well, guess who can't take our perfect wonderful ship."
- Mocking my other friends, if we're in a mutual follow, and you see us talking.
- SJW/Social Justice that straight up makes me uncomfortable. Yeah, I'm a woman, but if your feminism is really starting to make me uncomfortable? Unfollow.

Wow, I could have written this list. Plus the frequent use of the word cishet, since that always seems to bode ill.

Yep.

Forgot to add "WHY WASN'T THIS ALL OVER THE NEWS" posts when, in fact, if you look, it was all over the news. You just weren't paying attention.

You'd notice it was all over the news if you got your news anywhere but Tumblr. Hell, I think I saw a "this plane went missing in the ocean, why isn't this on the news???" post once (early on, but still).

My favorite was when someone was talking about the recent kidnappings in Nigeria, and asking why it wasn't on the news, and someone reblogged with like, 10 news websites with sources talking about it. It was kind of hilarious.

These are all perfectly valid reasons to unfollow someone. Thankfully I've been lucky enough not to have seen much of them, but they might be deal-breakers for me as well.

How exactly would one use Bun/Fae/Fin pronouns in a sentence?

Re: Instant unfollows

[personal profile] diet_poison 2014-05-03 12:27 am (UTC)(link)
Bun walked into fae kitchen, drinking the tea fae best friend gave fin for fae birthday.

...yeah, it's super stupid.
otakugal15: (eh?)

Re: Instant unfollows

[personal profile] otakugal15 2014-05-03 03:30 am (UTC)(link)
I don't even get what that's saying.

Is Bun more manly like? Fae more feminine like? Fin for neither? WHAT?

I don't get it. at all.

Re: Instant unfollows

[personal profile] diet_poison 2014-05-03 03:33 am (UTC)(link)
well I assume they'd pick just one like

fae/faes/faen

Fae walked into faes kitchen, drinking the tea faes best friend gave faen for faes birthday.

sorry, I just went with what was listed but I don't think that would make a proper "set".

but yeah...stupid. really stupid.

Yup, I can agree to most of this, also extreme whining about loosing followers(like constantly making posts about it, it's annoying).

what kind of feminism makes you uncomfortable?

Re: Instant unfollows

(Anonymous) 2014-05-03 02:15 am (UTC)(link)
Feminists who say or reblog anything like or anything of the following

"Misandry4Lyfe!"
"Proud Misandrist <3"
"male tears" (especially when they actually go and buy stuff with that on them, maybe I'm just jealous, but what a waste of money!
"Kill all men"
"Men can't be raped"
"Men are disposable"

things like that

NAYRT

Not to mention feminists who think having babies is sexist... and refer to them as "crotchfruit." Yep, that's empowering.

Re: Instant unfollows

(Anonymous) 2014-05-03 02:30 am (UTC)(link)
AYRT

At the very least, I can say that I haven't run into that kind of feminist on tumblr... Yet. I hope I never do.

I thought that was the whole extreme form of the childfree thing. Like calling kids "crotch dropping" and women who chose to have kids "breeders". That always seemed really unfeminist, at least the last bit.

So there are feminists who take that whole stance too? Yuck.

Re: Instant unfollows

[personal profile] diet_poison 2014-05-03 03:32 am (UTC)(link)
ahhh. I guess from "feminism that made me uncomfortable" I was thinking of something not so extreme.

yeah radfems be cray and I wouldn't follow them either. :|

Re: Instant unfollows

(Anonymous) 2014-05-03 03:50 am (UTC)(link)
Nope, extreme.

And they started off so nice, too, but then they changed the name on their (personal) blog to (blank)_feminist, which, it's their blog, I'm not going to judge them for changing their name, but I always get a twinge of, not fear exactly, but worry, I guess? whenever someone has a political ideology for the name of their personal blog, because putting your ideology first, and yourself second is creepy to me (though I completely understand that this might just be me, and not everyone, and I definitely did not unfollow them as soon as they changed their name; I unfollowed them after I noticed the radicalization of their posts after they changed their name.)

Re: Instant unfollows

[personal profile] diet_poison 2014-05-03 04:19 am (UTC)(link)
I wouldn't necessarily call it creepy, but I'd call it odd, yeah.

I just. I'm definitely a feminist and feminism is important to me...and I don't ever want people who say things like "all men are evil" and "men can't be raped" and all that shit to ever be associated with feminism. seriously.

Re: Instant unfollows

(Anonymous) 2014-05-03 04:39 am (UTC)(link)
Odd is just the word for it. And, maybe it's just my experiences, but I tend have found that people who have an ideology as their personal blog name - in all seriousness - tend to be very radical in ways I am not comfortable with, as the above examples demonstrate.

Re: Instant unfollows

(Anonymous) 2014-05-03 02:40 am (UTC)(link)
'Feminists' who shit all over trans people. "Trans women aren't really women, they're just faking it so they can molest women in locker rooms and bathrooms. And trans men aren't really men, they're faking it to get male privilege."

That kind of thing.

Re: Instant unfollows

(Anonymous) 2014-05-03 12:29 am (UTC)(link)
SJW/Social Justice that straight up makes me uncomfortable. Yeah, I'm a woman, but if your feminism is really starting to make me uncomfortable? Unfollow.

I'm a feminist, and sometimes other people's feminism bugs me. They take it to this extreme I'm not okay with, and you know you can't tell them you disagree. I haven't defriended anyone over it, but it is kind of annoying.

Mocking my other friends, if we're in a mutual follow, and you see us talking.

I hate when people do that. A friend of mine posted something controversial, and her Mom and a friend of hers from college started fighting. It was sooo awkward. I'm not sure the friend even realized it was her Mom. It wasn't a debate, it was "you're stupid" "no YOU'RE stupid." It's such an awkward position to put someone in.

Re: Instant unfollows

(Anonymous) 2014-05-03 02:29 am (UTC)(link)
The stupidest part (to me) was that it wasn't even something that controversial? Like, my friend and I had a headcanon, and we were talking about how it would fit in as close to canon as possible, because that's how we roll.

Two posts later I see this post saying "why do people even try to make things fit into canon what's wrong with headcanons? it's so dumb" (paraphrased, admittedly).

Of all the things to mock people over, this was it.
