Do you guys have anything that will make instantly unfollow or whatever even if you were totally okay with them beforehand.

If someone begins posting hate aimed at other fans or ships, it's an instant unfollow from me. I don't like fandom drama, especially ship wars, and I don't want to follow anyone who plays into it.

- "Anyone can be trans, who needs dysphoria?"
- "If you don't automatically hate this celebrity because they did this one specific thing wrong then you're a piece of shit"
- "Jokes about (topic) are never funny even if you're a part of the group you're joking about, and I can't just unfollow you're blog because that would be stupid!"
- "All men/cis/straight people need to be raped/killed"/"Lol (x) tears" (I'm not a man or straight, but yeah, I don't want to deal with that toxic bull shit)
- "TAG YOU'RE (insult) YOU (insult)" instead of asking politely
- On that same vein, people who refuse to tag things, even when asked politely. (Seriously, someone I followed used to post a shit ton of Makorra, so I asked if they could tag it, and they turned around and refused quite rudely, with a bunch of Makorra pics in the answer saying "well, guess who can't take our perfect wonderful ship."
- Mocking my other friends, if we're in a mutual follow, and you see us talking.
- SJW/Social Justice that straight up makes me uncomfortable. Yeah, I'm a woman, but if your feminism is really starting to make me uncomfortable? Unfollow.

Also I'm so picky about sj I'm interested in seeing, it's better just to say I don't want to see it at all.

Misandry jokes. God, once upon a time I used to be okay with people making them but it's a mixture of the over-exposure and how they're just not even that funny made me hate the damned things. And some are honestly just cruel or misinformed, like wanting men to be raped or what not.

If you post those things without tags, especially if you post them untagged so that 'everyone can see them and be educated', you're a giant dick, goodbye.

* Begging for money for really stupid reasons ("I really need to see _______ in concert, you guys!")
* Lots of drama and pointless banter in asks. Seriously, you want to have a conversation with your tumblr buddy, use text, PM, AIM or e-mail, nobody cares.
* Regular selfies.
* Using "Follow me for more nature/vintage/boho/pagan!" or other taglines.
* Doing annoying promo for yourself or other blogs.


Come to think of it, begging for money for just about any reason is a turn off. Unless there are some pretty serious mitigating circumstances (Dirt poor, cannot physically work to support your excellent cause, etc.), at least offer your services/product in return or SOMETHING.

Generally I can tell who I'll like or not before I follow them. I check far back in a person's blog to see if we like the same things. So... I rarely unfollow.

Posting about weed. I do not care if you smoke it, wear it, rub it into your gums, bake brownies, insert it into your earholes for a buzz WHATEVER. But I am not interested in endless posts about how you're OMG SO BUZZED or 4/20 hur hur hur or instagram photos of your stash/bong/smoke trail. That shit is fucking boring and the best way to show the world you're a braindead stoner is to blab about it endlessly.

- If someone reveals that they're an MRA or an "egalitarian." Usually when I go through their posts, I find that they think that men are sexually assaulted more than women or they're anti-choice or some shit.
- If someone posts hate about Asuka that isn't constructive. She's really the only character I'm like this about. You can hate all my other favorite characters and ships, but I get weirdly defensive about this.

I can think of two cases where I instantly unfollowed.

In one, the writer I followed started arguing that another fic writer was being unfairly dogpiled for saying something was "arguably rape." (To be clear, this other writer got dogpiled by people who thought the scene in question was definitely rape.) I didn't care one way or another because I didn't read the fic in question, but seeing the writer I was following get into this incredibly lengthy argument over the legal definition of rape, and seeing that his response to everyone who said "but it's rape!" was to keep arguing about the legal definition of rape, I just didn't feel like I wanted to see anything else this guy came out with.

The other time I instantly unfollowed was when some writer was drunkenly posting about how much he missed his ex-girlfriend, whom he consistently referred to as Dat Ass. He rambled on about how much he'd grown up since he met her, but he seemed so childish and immature when he talked about her, and I didn't have the patience for that.

Lots of hate - the kind of stuff that ends in long threads of back and forth argument that I have to scroll past. Nobody's got time for that.

Social justice stuff in general. I care a LOT about social issues, but I just don't want to see it on my dash.

Posting pictures of gore and dead bodies.

Constant promos and "follow me to win xxx!"

Militant vegan posts. Like, pictures of dead cows and stuff. I once followed someone who suddenly started posting all of this stuff out of nowhere, it was like it completely took over their dash.

Also, lots of fandom spam. Especially superwholock.

There is this girl in my fandom who is pretty intelligent, she writes quite well, and is quite funny, when she allows herself to be.

However, she is insecure as hell. Yesterday she posted a manip, saying that she couldn't write or draw, but she could do things in photoshop. I reblogged her post mistakenly thinking it was well done cosplay and so I wrote this in the tags, along with many other tags praising her. She reblogged my post again saying that NO IT WAS NO COSPLAY IT WAS A MANIP and then wrote another post saying how she now felt more of a failure because people thought it was a cosplay. I apologized in the comments, saying it had been my mistake, not hers, but she no only ignored it, but edited her post and put a big ETA to add it wasn't a cosplay!!

Yeah, I got tired of the drama caused by her lack of tact dealing with others and her low self-esteem. I just unfollowed her a couple minutes ago.

Someone on tumblr posted something to the effect of, "Just because I (via my religion) views homosexuality as inherently wrong doesn't mean I'm a bad person!" Fastest unfollow in history.

- Untagged militant/mean-spirited/pissy/self-superior/hateful social justice shit, or too much social justice anything.
- Excessive blogrates, ask memes, network apps, or other posts that basically consist of the blogger filling out the same form with slight variations over and over again.
- Hate of my favorite characters or others that I view favorably. (This will tend to get you not just unfollowed, but blocked.)
- Untagged depressing personal stuff.
- Too much stuff not related to my fandom and/or interests generally.
- Frequent untagged explicit porn images.

That said, I always check out peoples' archives before I decide to follow them in the first place, and I have extensive filters that catch most stuff I don't want to see as long as it's tagged or contains relevant keywords. So people have to be fairly careless about tags or else fill my whole dash with "So-and-so made a post containing the word ____" notifications before they get unfollowed.
