Re: Moments where your a friend surprised you

Well, there was a time when my best friend at the time... uh, well, a little background: she had recently had some drama with someone that left her really upset, and her telling of the story made me FURIOUS at the other party, so I basically called them out in private and let them have it on her behalf, only to find that my friend had left a lot of details out. I apologized. Since both I and the other party were willing to admit we had not handled things in regards to our mutual friend so well, we actually got to be friends rather than acquaintances.

This new friend later told me, when best-friend-at-the-time was freaking out and refusing to speak to me because I had just started dating someone (a female who was not her; I was NOT surprised by that part), that best-friend-at-the-time had told her aaaaaall about me behind my back, including that the reason she and I weren't dating was because although I was so obviously a lesbian, I was just using the ace thing to "cover it up because she's a Christian and doesn't want to admit she could be gay".

Yeah, so much for my supportive friend who respected my orientation. :P All the more proof I made the right decision in NOT dating her, and instead dating the woman who eventually became my fiancee.
