Re: 1st or 3rd person?
However, after reading a bunch of creepypasta lately, I have to say, re: first person...
If you're going to kill off your first person narrator at the end of the story, you'd better damn well have a good explanation as to how they're telling us the story planned. Because 'and, now I'm dead' destroys the verisimilitude that first person narration is meant to create.
(Also, having read a couple of the Harry Dresden books - your first person narrator better be someone whose head I want to spend the whole book in, rather than wanting to smack them repeatedly.)
