I understand that this does happen sometimes, but on the same hand you don't speak for all people with mental disabilities. So stop doing that. You are you, you are not we. You sure as hell don't speak for me, and yeah I do get upset at some of the ableist slurs used by people and occasionally speak up about it. And no, it's not just because I feel like complaining for the sake of complaining.

Here's the thing though.

The people who use it most maliciously are the people least likely to care about your opinion on the matter. So folks not wanting to hear shit is reasonable, but they should keep in mind who should be screamed at for catharsis and who should be asked politely.
