Using myopia as a metaphor for stupidity. As in, "a short-sighted plan," "myopic politics" etc. I totally GET that it makes sense as a comparison- lack of mental foresight DOES have a lot in common with not being able physically to see things that are far away. But still, as somebody with -10 vision, it bugs the FUCK out of me.
