Fedora jokes. MRAs didn't even ruin the fedora, people who wanted a symbol to use for marking guys as MRAs chose the fedora because they saw one or two MRAs wear one once. Now whenever I see a fedora joke I remember why I can't wear my nice hat anymore. To add extra stupidity, I'm female, so the jokes and negative fedora connotations probably don't apply to me wearing my fedora. But I still can't bring myself to.

Because what most everyone calls a fedora is actually a trilby.

No seriously. They're two completely different hats. It makes me angry that the fedora's reputation has been besmirched by so many idiots misidentifying their ugly-ass tacky trilbies.

Heck with that. Wear your fedora with pride! It is the hat of Jimmy Stewart, Carmen Sandiego, Inspector Gadget and Indiana Jones. It is a dignified and respectable hat with a long and venerable pedigree that has been co-opted by idiots who have no legitimate claim to its awesomeness. Reclaim the fedora!

(Unless of course your 'fedora' is actually a trilby, in which case, I got nothing.)
