Those images that say positive things that reblogged on Tumblr. They don't know me. Also things that say fat people are beautiful too because I really fucking hate my fat and my body image is shot.

I don't dislike all the positive messages on tumblr (hey, it's a nice change from: "everyone who disagrees with my opinion even a little bit is evil")

i dislike the ones that are addressed specifically to the reader.

like telling me about my situation or telling me how i feel. they don't know shit about me, and it always comes off as patronising.

I don't care for them either, but mainly because I think saying "fat people are beautiful too" is sort of missing the point. Too much emphasis is placed on physical beauty, and trying to convince everyone that we're all beautiful doesn't really address that problem. As a fat person who doesn't kid herself about it, I'd prefer the message "Looks aren't everything."

I know what you mean. I'm fat but I'm dieting for health reasons so I'm doing something about it, but no matter how much weight I lose, I still have a face that could fucking crack glass and there's not much I can do about that.
