Don't feel bad about that, anon. People who indulge themselves in rape fics and the like may not be rapists themselves, but they're still pretty fucked up, in my experience.

Hearing about someone getting raped in the news, for example, and being okay with getting off on it because you feel a little guilt from that? Yeah, hang yourselves.

Also enjoying fic (fan or pro) about rape =/= getting off to rl news reports/documentaries about rl cases/whatever.

Almost all rape-fic I have ever seen or heard about is from the POV of the victim.

"Rape fantasy" is about control, anon.

I am just as horrified as anyone else when I hear about someone being raped on the news.

Even fics where the rape is too realistic, I have to backbutton out of there fast.

But fics where the situation can be at all morphed into a "this could be a scene, discussed and agreed upon by two consenting adults", then yes, I'm all over it.

Because when I was raped, I had absolutely no control over the situation. In fiction, I can manipulate the situation into one where the character (and thus me, the reader, by proxy) DOES have some control, even if it's off camera.

I may be "fucked up", as you put it, but it isn't my kink that did it. :P
