ia in most cases, but OP still sounds like an asshole. the problem isn't being able to take a joke or being a baby or whatever, because that makes it sound like, yeah, x is a word with bad implications towards disabled people, but whatever, lighten up. the thing with "stupid" etc is that there is no consensus among disabled people on whether it has these implications, it's a useful word to discribe attitudes or behaviors, and that strict language policing in sj circles actually prevents mentally/intellectually disabled people from participating. ableism is a real thing but "omg u cant say lame!!!!" misses the point hard.
not sure what the popular idea on "herp derp" is, to me it sounds like imitating someone with an intellectual disability.
