Rose/The Doctor because her age bugs me a little and because I can't ship the Doctor with any companion. Power dynamics aren't my thing (unless its power dynamics by choice in the BDSM context).

But on the other hand I love power dynamics in friendships. So Doctor and companion friendships are the best. Not sure why it makes a difference to me.

Maybe because romantic relationships are generally seen as ideally heading towards sharing your life with someone, whereas friendships can be really close and good even if the individuals in them keep certain aspects of their lives and selves very separate from each other?

This, although I will admit the fandom put me off with the whole "she is the most important person in his life ever" stuff. Important, yes. Most important? No, I think that's kind of impossible to place to one person.

Rose's age doesn't bother me in terms of Rose/Doctor. If only because The Doctor (especially Ten) can come off as a bit immature himself at times.

However (and I realize this makes me a bit hypocritical), I absolutely cannot ship Amy/Doctor because of him first meeting her as a little girl. It borders a bit too much on the peodophillia side for my own comfort to ever consider this a 'romantic' ship.
