Re: New browser

Firefox is my favorite browser, it has great adblocking, but it's a memory hog (it's the only browser left that still runs in a single process, even IE has at least two). If you want something lean and mean, I recommend variants of Firefox's code, like Pale Moon mentioned above, or Waterfox, which I'm using right now, which is optimized for 64-bit systems. Or you can go completely off the rails and try Opera. Aside from Adblock, it doesn't have anywhere near the number of addons the other browsers do, but that also means you won't be tempted to clutter it up with extensions that make browsers run so slowly. It's very efficient (they're the creators of Opera Mini after all, by far the best browser for non-smartphones).

+1 to Opera. I just switched to it recently and it's so efficient. It's got adblock, but that's pretty much the only add-on I run on it. (Well, that and Tumblr Savior is it really.) I do have a couple compatibility issues but I'm pretty sure that's my old-ass computer and not the browser.

Also it has a lot of pretty themes you can apply to it if that's your style.
