I prefer blue Aurora, but Disney has been using pink for her dress in the merchandise and promo stuff for twenty plus years. Cinderella is their blue blonde princess (yeah I know her dress isn't actually blue), so Aurora gets thrown in pink.

It's nothing new with the redesigns.

This is why I wish they'd just throw GREEN out there for ONCE so we can see what she looks like in Fauna's color.

I read somewhere that's the reason they give Belle a pink and a green dress briefly in BatB, as an homage to the other fairies since her regular dress is blue.
