Wait, are we supposed to be thinking The Boondocks is politically correct? I thought the entire point of the show (not familiar with the comic strips that came before it) is that the creator is 'allowed' to portray African-Americans the way he does because he's black. It's the black, inner-city kid version of The Wonder Years.

People can get away with a lot of shit by claiming minority privilege. I remember that Asian-American news columnist who wrote articles with titles like "Why I Hate Asians" and "Proof that the White Community Inherently Hates Us." He didn't get fired until he wrote "Why I Hate Blacks."

I suppose that's an unfair comparison--The Boondocks has never been THAT hateful. Still, I don't think "Hey, I'm black!" is inherently a justification for shitting on someone else who is or is part black.
