You could try baking your own, if you have the time to spare? That way, you can throw in the stuff you like and leave out the stuff you don't? (Though I don't know about the whole-grain flour situation in American supermarkets. I'm from the country of sourdough and whole-grain breads, so not getting it anywhere sounds kind of terrible to me.)

this. and baking your own bread is not hard to do. It's just very time-consuming to mess around with yeast.
