Apparently I close my eyes a lot when I talk.

I rub my lips on the smooth part of bread when eating a sandwich. I always eat my food in the same order (sides first, then the main dish). I don't sneeze. I hate doing it so whenever I have to, I try and stop it. If I can't I try and turn it into a weird cough.

I always keep my clock an hour fast because it makes me feel like I have an extra hour in the day to know that it's not really that time.

I close my eyes a lot because I have very bad eyesight and giant thick glasses and the combination of weak eyes + magnification + dazzling sunlight surprisingly enough equals a lot of eye fatigue.

I have weird anxiety about walking in front of stopped cars, especially when they're not stopped at a designated crosswalk. Part of my brain refuses to believe that they're not a kind of animal waiting for the chance to pounce.

I forget to blink when I'm wearing my glasses. Then I put my contacts in and my eyes get painfully dry because I'm still forgetting to blink.

I have "dramatic eyes" and just a very expressive face in general. And I talk with my hands. And I have a thing about toying with my jewelry.

I can't sit/stand still for very long, at least not unless something is really absorbing my attention. I will shake my foot or some other body part and sometimes rock back and forth.

I do this weird thing when I read where I count the lines in groups of five. And if I'm online I move the page up or down by five clicks at a time. And when I drink I take five sips in a row before taking a break. When I'm reading online and drinking at the same time it can get confusing.

I say sorry a lot. Also, apparently my facial and tonal expressions are slightly... off. I tap the tip of my nose if I need a moment to think in a conversation. *Shrug* I bet there are more but I generally don't pay much attention unless someone points it out to me.

I cut everything on my plate before starting to eat (actually I do this mostly when I'm alone, lol) because I NEED to know beforehand what is the last morsel. Yes, I choose it carefully over the whole meal.

I unconsciously raise my left brow in judgement, and it's so terribly pointed upward that one of my friends always loses his shit about it and has taken to calling me Bugs Bunny... and now that's the name for the quirk and it's not unconscious anymore.

I ALWAYS sit, on any kind of chair or surface, with my right foot under my ass. This has also been commented on a lot, but I just can't not do it. I've done it since I was a little kid.

I don't know if it's really a quirk, but I've noticed over the years that when I smile with closed lips I only ever do it lopsidedly. I probably resemble a villain character or an extremely downgraded Harrison Ford.

This is something I never used to do, but in the past couple years I've started talking with my hands a lot. I picked it up from my father.

Er...I'm very cautious about germs and cooking? Not sure if that's super weird or not, but sometimes I'll wash my hands a good six times while cooking. (Even if the meal isn't really hands on.) I also wash all the dishes again before using them even if I know they've been recently washed. (Is that normal? ...IDK anymore, lol.)

I count a lot. The number of times I brush my teeth on each side, how long I leave a dish under the water when I wash dishes, the number of tiles on a ceiling, that kind of thing.

I also can't post a comment or send an email without rereading it about three times. Which...sometimes takes quite a bit of time, and is incredibly frustrating.

I move my hands a lot when I talk, and I have accidentally hit myself when I got really exited about a conversation.

You mean you blink or squint a lot? Or they stay shut the whole time like some kind of anime?

I get visually distracted, so I have to check myself to actually look at/near the person I'm talking to. It gets a bit awkward when it looks like I'm suddenly more interested in a flash of whatever outside the window.

Also, one of my tics is pushing my glasses up when I get nervous (i too am an anime like you). I didn't realize it was a tic until I got contacts and caught myself pushing up a phantom pair.

I apparently widen my eyes a lot when I talk, especially when I'm emphasising a word(for years I had no idea that I did this and then my bf told me a couple of years ago and I was like 'shut up' but he's right, I'm more confused as to why no one else has mentioned it though).

My hands are very animated when I talk as well, I gesture a lot with them.

I also keep one of my clocks 15 mins fast, because I am under the impression that it will help me get up earlier.

I have since childhood a tendency to repeat things. Sometimes up to three of four times. I suspect when I'm in my 50's and onward (I'm currently 34), I'm going to be facepalming a lot, and going "Yes, I realize repeating things is often a sign of dementia, but I've always had a habit of repeating things, so bug off!"

I hate being in rooms with open doors. I'm fine with open walkways/spaces, but if there's a door, it has to be closed.

I also play with my jewelry a lot, but that's not that weird.

I heel-bounce if I'm standing. I don't know when or why I started but I can't seem to shake it now.

I count random things off on my fingers to see if they're in groups of five, like a line in song lyrics or a quote or a rhythm or whatever, my left eye wanders when I'm relaxed enough not to keep it from doing that (apparently inherited that from my father), I pick the polish off my nails once it starts chipping when I'm nervous, and I jiggle/bounce my right leg when I'm thinking.
