Re: Faking it...

Last time I was asked the question "why do you want to work here", I just said it seemed like a great working environment and that I like working with people, both of which are true but the job was for a Guide/Hostess thing and I could have faked it and said "Oh I love history, and especially the history of the fortress I will be guiding people in, and also my favourite thing in the world is to make food", but that is a lie, liking to work with people and that the people I will work with are nice is the truth. The real reason I wanted the job, like any other job I've applied to: I need the fucking money!

So you could just try to use some kind of tactic like that? I also once used my experience working in a dry cleaners, to prove that I was good at working independently, while also mentioning that I have had jobs where I worked in a team and enjoyed both.

Any kind of job gives you some kind of experience you might need later in life, so just play of that.

I'm not sure this was the best way to word this? Do you get what I was trying to say?

What I got from that was: focus on what you think are the good parts of the job even if you think they are minor and just go with that.

Not sure if that what you meant, but that's actually useful, I think I can work with that, thanks!
