how are those parties any worse than the type of stuff hugh hefner does, except with girls instead of boys?

I don't think that Hugh Hefner has a great reputation either. If there are any rape accusations against Hugh Hefner (I don't know whether there are/were or not), you'd be making a better comparison. Right now, you're argument is basically "what IF Hugh Hefner did this, and what IF he was treated differently."

my point is their parties are no different, and everyone's acting like singer's parties are proof he's guilty.

Okay, fair enough. FWIW, I think the accuser is sketchy. But I do think that while the party background isn't proof of anything, a lot of people do see it as smoke (as in, 'where there's smoke, there's fire').

Because no one has yet to accuse of Hefner of raping them at a party. However, if they did, I am pretty sure given Hefner's history for liking girls a quarter of his age, he would get the same treatment. But, again, since no one has accused him, we don't know how the public would react.

The fact is someone is accusing Singer of rape. Singer has a sketchy history. Because of this, it's easier to believe the accuser than to believe Singer. I feel the same thing would happen Hefner IF and again, IF he were ever accused of the same crime.

Considering half of Hollyweird practically fell all over themselves to defend/protect Roman Polanski, I have high doubts that Hefner would get the same time of backlash Singer is getting now.

It's not like Hollywood is turning its back on Singer now. Yes, they've cut back on his involvement with the X-men promo, but let's be honest, that's based more on pragmatism, because the accusations couldn't have come at a worse time and the last thing the studio wants is people grilling Singer about the allegations on the PR circuit and taking focus away from the movie.

The backlash Singer is getting is almost entirely from the public, and I think the public would be more than happy to dogpile Hefner, too. The public wasn't the one taking up the mantle in Polanski's defense, either.
