I have lost track of the number of cons I have attended over the past 20 or so years and one thing I have noticed is that wide range of actors and how they feel about the fans. Some do it simply for the paycheck. Some do it for the ego boost. Some do it because they like meeting the fans and the interactions. A few do it because they themselves are big geeks and like the energy of the cons.
