I know right? and I'm kind of taking this a tad personally cause it makes me feel like, me being straight, that my relationship with my boyfriend isn't profound or is some how..lesser.

I HATE people who think like this. Gay and straight relationships are pretty much the same, save for the societal pressures going on. they have the same hang ups with their SOs, same loving, same fucking everything. fighting against bigotry doesn't make the relationship some how MORE compared to everyone else.
