I hear you, OP. Well, for me, it's more that I'm frankly *bored* with all white guys all the time, or I get irritated by fridged girlfriends as plot points (I was so bummed when Frigga died. She was so awesome.) I mostly want to see something *new*. A little freakin' originality. We have seen all the white male plots already in their multiple variations ad nauseum. This is why Breaking Bad and the rest of the anti-heroes are popping up so much, for a little bit of desperate variety, but for chrissake, there are all these untapped lives waiting around, not just women but CoC and LGBT characters, to lend at least slightly different spins on "the hero's journey" yet one more time.

Can I get a little fresh air in here?

Agreed!

it's getting boring. we need something other than "white male protagonist", if not for realistic representation of society, then at least for some goddamn variety once in a while.

what is CoC though? don't think i've ever heard of that term before.

So instead of looking for and supporting (maybe even promoting) awesome shows that actually have all of those things, and plenty exist just waiting to be discovered, you'd rather bitch and moan about the blandest crap around?
