But now that I think about it, it's not completely bad. I play RE5 with my boyfriend and I pointed out all the female characters had pretty lame roles as the "second player" in the final boss battles, but then Chris's entire ending sequence is reliant on his male partner and is absolutely badass. I told him, "This was by far the coolest thing the 2nd player has done, and of course I'm a guy." He laughed pretty hard at that and said he would have never noticed that.

I also pointed out in HunterxHunter, the first few girls you meet all have some weird domestic household power. I mean, they're badass, but they're all like sewing/cooking/vacuuming... Until Pakunoda, but yeah
