People really like to imagine Loki as delicate and broken, OP. They really like it a LOT.

Which I think counts as one of the stupidest ideas ever to grace fandom.

Especially Loki/Stark? Loki likely could rid himself of any Stark problem by waiting him out, if he wasn't actively playing Stark for the opportunity to lock him in his own armor and drown him in the blood of his employees.

...gdi, now I want to read that.

This is one of the reasons I stay away from the more Loki-heavy parts of Avengers fandom, I find this fanon and the heavy breathing they do over it profoundly creepy

Disclaimer: Of course I say this acknowledging people can have their preferences.

Personally I don't go for this. I prefer fic that goes along the lines of Loki being genuinely dangerous/unhinged. I think a lot of this is down to the fact I don't think MCU canon has quite managed it convincingly yet, even after saying he's "seen things" that made him the way he was in Avengers.

Me too! I prefer Loki to be on the un side of sane.

OP

... Yeah, I noticed, and sometimes I like it too, but most of the times he doesn't feel like Loki when they do it

Yeah, it's probably one of my least favorite things about the avengers fandom along with the fact that a lot of fanfic makes thor seem way more dumb than he is and REALLY FUCKING LOUD ALL THE TIME. I mean, don't get me wrong, I like whump as much as anyone (and, ngl, I would read a shit ton of thor whump) and I even read the odd woobie![whoever] once in a while but that shit gets old real fast. Tony gets it a lot too which is also incredibly annoying (what is it with fandom and turning emotionally stunted middle aged men into delicate, feeble minded crybabies?)

Don't forget the poptarts.

Fan characterization of Thor bothers me so much.

Don't forget the poptarts.

I'm trying to forget the poptarts, haha. Poor thor, I think he gets the most consistently terrible fanon characterization out of the MCU Avengers. It's so rare to find a good Thor fic...
