Huh. Now I'm starting to wonder if I missed something, too. Maybe it's got something to do with the fact that it's really hard to get Tony and Loki together unless one of them Loki, it's totally Loki, judging from all the fic I've read has a really good reason to ask for the other one's aid? Don't get me wrong, I'll be there and I'll ship it if the fic is good, but it's kind of hard to imagine these two getting together unless they've got a really good reason to form a temporary truce.

The loving descriptions of Loki being malnourished do get grating after a while, though. So glad I've missed all the slave fics.

(Slightly off topic, but I freaking love all the portmanteaus for MCU ships. Frostiron sounds ridiculously pretty.)

Yeah, Loki asking for aid I could live with, what I keep seeing is Thor leaving him powerless on earth for Tony to babysit. And then it gets revealed that ~he didn't mean it~ and ~his family bullied him~ and Tony forgives all.

The fucking malnourishment though. "Loki had always been on the thin side, but now---" SHTAP IT

Huh. I'm glad I've missed those, too. But I do seem to have a knack for stumbling across fics that have Loki crashing into Tony's apartment in the middle of the night all bloody and banged up after a fight. It gets grating after a while too, but at least he isn't hauled back to earth by Thor.

Oh god, don't even get me started on Tony glossing over all the horrible shit Loki has done. Like, no. Oh, my sweet summer child, no. Loki has his issues, sure, but that doesn't excuse the awful things he did. Hell, even Thor said that he was 100% done with his bullshit. Thor. The guy who still tried to make Loki see reason after he'd trapped Thor into a glass cage and sent said glass cage plummeting from the sky. I highly doubt that Tony would be any more willing to let the whole rampage in NY slide.

I swear, I've read that line so many times that I can't help but to snort and roll my eyes at it because it appears in every single fic without fail.

The comments to this secret makes me think there's like alternative dimensions of FrostIron fic because I can only remember one fic like that this is so surreal to me.

All the fucking times Tony has to save Loki from torture though, the loving wound descriptions and so much blood.

I've started reading Bucky fanfic (I love Sam/Bucky (&Nat/Bucky but she's my fandom bicycle) but due to the lack of that I read Steve/Bucky) and I saw someone describing Bucky as too thin and I, like, closed my laptop and went outside all NO THIS ISN'T HAPPENING

I think I have issues with most ships involving Loki precisely because you have to really convince me why this would become a thing given all of the Avengers have good reason to really hate him and the feeling is definitely mutual. But I am open to the idea and many authors have managed to get me to the point of successfully suspending my disbelief.

Tony/Loki isn't usually one of my go-to ships but I understand why it's popular. Two guys with ego problems who are sworn enemies? Yeah, I get it!

(Off topic too but: My guilty pleasure MCU ship is Blackfrost, which sounds like an awesome metal band name. Actually, so does Frostiron!)

nothing beats Stark Spangled Banner and I do not understand why more people don't use it.

And why use 'Stony' when you can have 'Starks and Stripes'? Avengers fandom, priorities!

As somebody who hates ship names, I really adore some of the ones the Marvel fandom has come up with. Stark Spangled Banner will never fail to amuse me. Probably my favorite is Bowtie for Clint/Coulson. It's just so cute and punny!

I'm with you, usually not a huge fan of ship names, but if we must have ship names, some of these are so amazing.
