I could actually see the Dresden Files working rather well as an anime. Hell, as-described, Dresden has practically Clamp proportions in the book.

I was thinking more the crazy-long noodle people. He's described as really tall and lanky.

I don't recall Clamp being terribly bad about yaoi hands and yaoi head, but I haven't read them in forever. And the one Kamui picture in an artbook that I have where he's 10 heads high really sticks in my memory.

I've looked up Kamui artbook and yeah... I have Wish manga which I think is typical Clamp; proportions are highly stylized there.

Dresden'd look great in a blowing coat and a cowboy hat before a setting sun. I see it in my mind's eye!

If we're going Jim Butcher, Codex Alera is pretty much shonen in written form.

True. I'd be a little worried that the Marat would end up too much "standard-pretty-elf", because I love the muscly elf barbarian idea. The rest would work wonderfully, though.

Yeah, dude is supposed to be 6'9" and he hangs out with an assortment of 5' people. It would be pretty comical (in a good way, considering Harry's ridiculous height is supposed to be a bit funny) to see it in action.
