Not mine, but I participated in a... er... sexuality thread? I guess? Back on GaiaOnline, years and years ago. A religious girl came in and had a lot of discussions with our resident gay representative. Everyone was quite calm and respectful and in the end she said we'd opened up her perspective and made her more accepting of the gay community. So that's always nice.
