There's plenty of people who like certain relationship dynamics and some of them try to emulate them in real life (with varying results)

I adore pairings where the woman is more dominant while the man is more passive, but I've realized I can't pull it off very well in real life.

As long as you're having fun and not hurting anyone it's A-OK :)
