So you wouldn't want to be a simple ensign?
Also it's a bit of a military endeavor. Imagine a more realistic starship with corrupt officers, shortage of supplies and such. Not every ship is like Enterprise, I think.

Best Star Trek series to serve on:

1) TNG. Obviously. Relatively low mortality, most moral and uplifting, most functional of any of the crews
2) DS9. Get to chill with Ben Sisko and drink in Quark's bar and party all the time, but there is, you know, the war, and all the corruption, and all that stuff
3) TOS. A high chance of mortality, and you have to assume that Kirk's disregard for the rules and risk-taking would get pretty annoying after a while, but it's still a pretty great collection of people.
4) VOY. Stranded in space years and years from home with a bunch of former rebels and low supplies and a captain who might best be described as 'uncompromising.' And also, there's Neelix.
5) ENT. Buhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Interesting!

+1 to TNG, and the family is allowed to travel with you and the Captain is pretty level headed.

VOY and DS9 agreed as far as I watched it. I'm going to watch DS9 fully some times.

TOS - short but fun.

I actually like ENT and it's the closest to our time. No holodeck though.

DS9 is by far my most favorite of all the series, but I think it would be very unpleasant to live on the station. In addition to the war, you have fun things like terrorist bombs and the whole race issue.

Cardassians were so hot though.

This is an excellent analysis of the options and you should feel food, anon.

This thread is cute. I am imagining anon going into a grocery store and patting all the loaves of bread or something. XD
