Re: Embarrassing songs you enjoy
Toto: Africa
I also seem to have gone full-on gay in a newfound love of 80s synthpop, probably making up for spending my teen years in the 80s with my head up my asshole in denial.
Re: Embarrassing songs you enjoy
the same applies to a lot of 80s synthpop although I guess it kind of depends on what we're talking about specifically
no shame
Re: Embarrassing songs you enjoy
Synthpop I think can be a wide spread. I love Chris Lowe and Vince Clarke to death these days, but every now and then one of their tracks has everything and the kitchen sink, leading me to say, "what the fuck?" And there's a fair bit of just plain formula stuff in that genre as well.
Re: Embarrassing songs you enjoy
Re: synthpop I think formula bothers me less in general maybe, as long as it's well executed, but I definitely understand where you're coming from. Maybe we're at a far enough remove from the time that it's possible to find that weirdness almost charming. IDK.
