Yeah, what she said is not only dumb but limiting.

As for me, as soon as I read this phrase or hear it come from an actor's mouth, I check out;

"Scientists say we only use 10% of our brains...."

Nope. Nope. Nope. Especially if it's supposed to be for a sci-fi story/movie/show. You learn in sixth grade that this is wrong. You use every bit of your brain. It's just not lighting up all at once. But you use it all. And yet people still use this phrase. And even worse because it is such a common line in sci-fi/fantasy circles many people believe this to be fact.

This is why I don't think I can ever see that Lucy movie that's coming out. It's another movie about ~unlocking the other 90% of your brain~ and I'm just like... nooo. Nooooo.
