I was all excited to show off the beginnings of a pair of entrelac socks I'm working on but the photo sucks because my only camera is on a 5 year old phone.




I finished it several months ago but I'm still so happy with the little crocheted Appa I made for my girlfriend

Thanks! I've made a lot of little stuffed toys like this but I think Appa is my favorite.

Still knitting myself this little mobile phone case that I started months ago. It's slow-going because I'm bad at teaching myself anything :( It's going to be so cute when it's finished though! - it's purple and it's going to have a little face with googly eyes.
If/when I finish, I'll post a pic. :)

I'd like to see it. I remember how frustrating it could be to keep going in the beginning when I was still learning. Hang in there. It gets easier.

Those socks are great. I've made an entrelac blanket, but never socks. Never thought of it, but they work.

Thanks! These are actually my second pair of entrelac socks. The first ones were a different pattern and I wasn't fond of the fit. Now I'm trying Eunny Jang's pattern.

:O! Okay, so I just took up knitting and successfully made a small baby coat for a co-worker so I am not totally unteachable, and I wanted to try my hand at socks but they just look SO DAMN COMPLICATED!!

Any videos/sites with pictures/book suggestions?!

I taught myself to make socks by just picking a simple pattern and following the directions no matter how little they made sense to me, just trusting that it would come out right in the end. True understanding came later.

This pattern is very similar to the one I started with. And this one (pdf) is made to be as detailed as possible.
