:O! Okay, so I just took up knitting and successfully made a small baby coat for a co-worker so I am not totally unteachable, and I wanted to try my hand at socks but they just look SO DAMN COMPLICATED!!

Any videos/sites with pictures/book suggestions?!

I taught myself to make socks by just picking a simple pattern and following the directions no matter how little they made sense to me, just trusting that it would come out right in the end. True understanding came later.

This pattern is very similar to the one I started with. And this one (pdf) is made to be as detailed as possible.
