I'm the same. I find being cold less unpleasant than being hot in the first place, but I also think it's so much easier to get warm than it is to cool off. I can always add more layers but there's only so much you can take off in the summer.

seeee, people always say this (about layers) and I think it's a little besides the point. That doesn't talk about which you inherently prefer - it just talks about which one is easier to fix, and it's true to an extent for just about anybody.

And besides, I get really, really tired of having to lug around literally five layers of clothing and still be cold outside. It makes getting dressed a pain and it's cumbersome and awful-looking.

Huh, I haven't come across other people saying that. Everyone always looks at me like I'm weird and agrees with you. Obviously we need to trade acquaintances.

I don't find layers to be that annoying at all.

I forgot to mention another highly personal reason for me to prefer the cold: I get to wear all the cute hats and gloves and scarves and things that I knit and crocheted.

yeah, that would make sense since you knit that stuff!

on the flip side, I love being able to accessorize, and it's so much easier in the summer! Earrings are about the only thing that shows, and they sometimes get in the way of my scarf. Necklaces are totally covered up. Rings feel weird under gloves. Hats get in the way of earmuffs. Fingernail polish is seen less, and toenail polish not at all. doing my hair different ways is less fun when I'm just going to cover up my head with whatever to keep it warm.

Oh god this! Especially when going to the bathroom.

I discovered however a trick: instead of wearing cuddle-duds, I wear leg warmers under my pants. Keeping my calves warm seems to warm the whole leg somehow. I'm not questioning it!

What are cuddle-duds?

Basically thermal shirts or leggings. http://www.cuddlduds.com In the winter I wear them under my clothes to stay warm. Though with the way it has been at work recently, may need to start wearing them. In the summer. Dagnamit...

Ooh. Those look like they'd be REALLY comfy during winter.

And...I feel ya. Ironically, one of the things I love most about summer is being able to go about in minimal clothing, because it's so much easier and more comfortable (and more fun to accessorize!) but it also takes higher temperatures to get me into shorts than most people. PLUS if I'm going anywhere that involves being inside (including at my own house) I can't do it because all the buildings are freakin' refrigerated or something idek.
