I hate summer. I hate heat. I love winter. Whenever I tell someone that I'd rather be cold than hot, they look at me like I'm crazy.

I'm the same. I find being cold less unpleasant than being hot in the first place, but I also think it's so much easier to get warm than it is to cool off. I can always add more layers but there's only so much you can take off in the summer.

seeee, people always say this (about layers) and I think it's a little besides the point. That doesn't talk about which you inherently prefer - it just talks about which one is easier to fix, and it's true to an extent for just about anybody.

And besides, I get really, really tired of having to lug around literally five layers of clothing and still be cold outside. It makes getting dressed a pain and it's cumbersome and awful-looking.

Really? I'm the opposite of you but most people I've met have said they'd rather be cold. I know a number of people, including close friends and family members, who would rather be cold, and some who straight-up love winter and didn't even want it to end this year even though it was colder than usual, extra-snowy, and extra-long.

This was me. It didn't help that I have fairly good heat and yet my air conditioner is not good. I just have a window unit that cannot keep up with the 80 degree weather we've been having.

I can't stand the cold weather either, I have poor circulation so I find winter absolutely horrible. I'd rather it be warm, I can just chill in tank tops then.

I agree. I personally love spring and autumn the most because winter really dries my eyes out a lot and that's not nice, but if I had to choose between winter and summer, I'd choose winter (at least if I knew there was some way to keep warm if I wanted to).
You can always wear another layer, but if it's really hot, there's only so much you can do before it gets indecent...

Spring brings allergies. Fall is my favorite, though. Nice cool weather, pretty trees, comfortable clothes without a huge ton of layers. Basically the perfect season. I love winter too, though. Hate both spring and summer.

My favorite is spring. Mild weather, pretty flowers, and no mosquitoes. I don't like the heat and humidity of summer at all, and I'm sorry that spring is starting to become summer already where I am (though today is nicely chilly, so I'm happy right now).

I can take or leave flowers. There are a few I like, but I don't ever feel the need for them. And pollen makes me miserable. So spring may actually be my least favorite.

ETA the above post reminded me that I do get allergies, but they aren't that bad for me anymore. The year I got hives was the worst (I got antihistamines, but they made me fall asleep in class, ugh).

Everyone I know loves fall the most, but I associate it with school starting, and in general seem to get depressed around that time of year. I do like Halloween and fall leaves, but that's pretty much only October.

Summer isn't BAD but fall is objectively the best season

Cooling down a little after summer, everything is crisp and clear, there's a little bite in the wind, the leaves are turning colors, you have Halloween and Thanksgiving which are excellent holidays... it's a good time of the year

Fall is my favourite season, definitely. Or maybe the end of August. It is still light but not too hot; it rains sometimes but overall it's still dry. And all the beautiful colours are beautiful. Annnnd apples. Autumn apples are the ones I like the most. PIES.

Agreed. I don't mind being warm inside the house, but the second I step outside I'd rather be a little too cold than a little too warm. Part of it is that I hate sweating. Which is a problem when you live in southern Arizona...

I spent two years living in Texas because I had to move back home, and my parents had moved there. It was awful. I don't think I went outside much of ever either summer I was there. Now I'm back in Boston and much happier.

I'm in Tucson right now (little brother is graduating from U of A) and it is so fucking hot Jesus Christ how do people live with this

I was always under the impression that Arizonans don't sweat much because it's so dry...?

(for some reason, I don't mind being sweaty. I gather this is rather unusual. Drenched in sweat is ew, but a little bit doesn't but me at all, as long as there's deodorant involved)

I feel you, anon. I'm normally always warm anyway, and I just find it so much easier (and nicer) to cuddle into a sweater than to be flopped somewhere dripping sweat and feeling all gross.

Heck yeah, preach. Summer has nice things about it, but I hate getting drenched in sweat from walking down to the store. And winter is awesome. I love snow too! And people always act like ~oh if you love snow you've probably never really had to deal with it~ but no, I've lived in New England my whole life, I know what snow is and I still love it.

I loved snow as a kid but now I pretty much hate it, unless it's Christmastime. It's nice to look at, except where it gets brown and slushy, but it's cold and wet and slows things down and turns into ice and it's a pain in the ass to drive on.

My bff is this way. She gets depressed when the temperatures rise over 65F. Me, I like it to be around 70-85F, but winter's fun to play in the snow with my dogs. I just hate driving in the snow/ice, and where I live, we get enough of it.

I feel the same. I live in California in a dinky old house with crap insulation, windows that face all the wrong ways to get a cross breeze and no AC. It's all I can afford. It's a torture box. I hate summer. I prefer winter. At least I can get comfortable by putting on more clothes.

I can function in either temperature. It's humidity that I hate. I've lived in tropical storm humidity and cold, drizzly humidity. HUMIDITY SUCKS.

You sound like my boyfriend. I prefer being warm to hot, but I HATE the cold. HATE HATE HATE.

But, I live near the Mississippi river, so...heat and humidity are a constant in the summer. Bleh.
