But you just reminded me that nothing, not one thing, gave me more pleasure in Desolation of Smaug than Nori's spectacular bad hair day following the barrel ride. I have no idea why, but his collapsed star gave me a little tickle every time I saw it in Laketown.

I'm easily pleased, yes?

People who are easy to please are happier than those who aren't. And the dwarves are good examples of truly bad hairstyles.

Actually, I quite like the braids, I just loved the evidence that apparently Nori's fantastic updo is in no way waterproof and will in fact become a sad, floppy birds-nest under turbulence. I think I just like the idea that dwarves have bad hair days, and all the careful braiding in the world won't save you when you have to go over a few waterfalls in a barrel.

I loved seeing that too - both him and Dori. I just love the realism that their hair won't stay perfect.
