Admittedly, this tends to happen to me in a lot of fandoms, but for some reason it really annoys me in this particular one. There are exactly two pairings with any traction in fandom, not counting Main Character/OC and Main Character/Crossover Character, and the lack of variety really bugs me. It's not even that I dislike those two pairings, necessarily, it's that there's about twenty stories of each of them for every one of any other pairing and I just desperately want some variety.

Fandoms with megaships tend to bug me regardless, but at least with bigger ones even small percentages of other pairings will still net you a good few stories. In smaller fandoms, like this one, I tend to end up giving up in disgust.

WHY DON'T YOU TELL US THE FANDOM.

What do you ship? Because I follow a bunch of people who write a variety of smaller ships (and write them well, and not only PWP) and I might be able to point you in the direction of some good stuff.

You probably won't see this, but I ship basically anything with Sandy, and if Tooth/Bunny exists then I really, really want it. And thank you!

I know this is a day lade, but I hope you'll see it anyway! Most of these people are on tumblr unless stated otherwise, because that's where I lurk.

Okay, first off, sandflake draws some absolutely beautiful Sandy/Jack, and wendyalice writes drabbles and short ficlets for the pairing that I think are absolutely adorable.

I have a shit-ton of Pitch/Sandy recs, mostly because that is my ship, although to give fair warning, background Jack/Bunny pops up reasonably often, so it might be hit or miss for you. whentheoceanmetsky is probably the biggest Jack/Bunny shipper in this bunch of recs, but her Pitch/Sandy art is so hot it will melt your face off. thismightyneed is also one of the best artists I know in that corner of fandom. She's got a thousand AUs ranging from crack to fluff to murder. aroshi-wish and arc03verdigris are both a bunch less inactive now, but they used to be pretty much juggernauts in the art department, so there are plenty of archives to go through. nightmareships has just recently got into the fandom, and their stuff is killer, although they are interested in guro, so tread carefully. And I like pandascreativecorner, their art is really sweet and I love their style.

I'd also plug gretchensinister, she's on AO3 and tumblr, and I'd say she's one of the best-known Pitch/Sandy authors going, although I may be out of date. She definitely wrote one of the first fics on AO3, and she's also currently in the middle of a challenge to fill every unfilled prompt in the first round of the meme, so you can also find plenty of various rarepairs on her blog. bowlingforgerbils on tumblr writes really adorable fluff and domestic AU, and stvincentinexile on AO3 writes some of the most gorgeous prose I've ever read in any fandom. (They wrote a mermaid AU I absolutely adore.) Lithefider has a bookverse/movieverse fusion epic on AO3, but it also involves mpreg so it's not really my cup of tea. tejoxys' main ship is Pitch/Jack, but he writes way more Pitch/Sandy or gen friendship with Pitch and Jack, and I find most of his stuff really good despite not personally liking the dynamic of Pitch/Jack at all.

And, hm. I don't really know of anyone who does Tooth/Bunny, but I do know a few folks who write rairpairs. repurposethestars started a project to write for underappreciated ships; I don't know what the status is but I know she's got a few Tooth/Mother Nature fics, and I've fallen for that ship hard and fast. KSClaw on AO3 and tumblr ships basically everybody with Pitch except Jack, if you're into that, and PompousPickle on AO3 has gone quiet lately, but they wrote some excellent porn.

Ugh, I feel you so hard on this front. It is one of the reasons why fandom is frustrating for me. There's hardly any variety when comes to pairings in my main fandom. There's one huge juggernaut ship, another ship that is big but not as huge as the juggernaut but is often used as a background pairing on fics featuring the juggernaut ship. And one fairly popular het ship. The rest of the ships border on and in many cases are rarepairs.

I htend to dislike the juggernaut pairing in any fandom I get into so this is just frustrating to me. I can only imagine what it must be like in a small fandom.
