I use a brand from Love Grown Foods that has oats, chia and nuts in it. I just add water but cook it in the microwave at half power (if it's at full you risk oatmeal spill over and you have to clean up the oatmeal you wanted to eat!). I'll just a little dark cocoa powder, maple syrup and greek yogurt. Makes for a filling tasty meal! Sometimes instead of adding the cocoa I'll add some fruit or preserves. No maple syrup. It's tasty too!

I'm always suspicious of the cocoa/jogurt combo, I've eaten some cocoa flavored yogurts that tasted terrible, but probably mixing it with the oatmeal and the yogurt will work. :D Also nuts, yeah.

So you use water to cook it but then add yogurt, I suppose that works too, probably milk+yogurt is a bit overkill? I do love how it tastes though, but then I live on milk+cereal...

I wish we had brands that sell this kind of thing, we only have stuff that goes with cold milk... because here this stuff is not cooked that I know of. In fact it took me quite a while to find the oats at all.

I've made it before with milk but it was either almond milk or coconut milk. Couldn't taste the difference really. Here's the thing about food: there's no real right or wrong way of cooking anything (except if it burns down the house, I suppose that's an exception). So try milk and yogurt! Just a little extra calcium anyway.
