yeah... "contains people being verbally insensitive" describes most books with interesting content. I have to wonder how saying a book contains "ableism" would be helpful to anyone with specific trauma.

Without a very clear policy and guide as to what students can expect, this would be a train wreck. And students who aren't satisfied have to talk to the accessibility office, not their profs. But it's doable, universities are full of weirder shit. They're just being dramatic because the liberal arts education is under pressure to change from all sides these days.
