My favorite character turned out to be a massive self-righteous asshole in canon and every shitty thing that had happened to him was revealed to be karmic retribution for him being a self-righteous asshole and I can't get over it enough to say 'wow, I really hate this writing decision, you are not at all the character I thought you were and I really fucking hate your punk ass, hope the villain drops you in a volcano in the next installment' and move on with my life.
