I think a lot of people say they want their ships to be canon but if nearly all fandoms in the history of forever has proven anything people don't care nearly as much for couples that are together than they do ships that are never going to happen.

I mean I don't ship non-canon stuff but most people seem to only ship stuff that will never happen just so they have more room to make shit up.
