Yes. I'm autistic, and this means sometimes I read things wrong, or literally when it wasn't meant that way. I have sometimes asked for clarification, explaining I'm autistic and I don't quite understand what was meant. I have had people tell me this is using my autism as an "excuse"... because I asked for clarification in order to properly respond. Sigh.
